We are a registered NDIS boutique disability support provider on the Gold Coast. We specialise in providing Supported Independent Living (SIL) services in which a person is supported 24/7 to live as independently as possible in their home and community, while staying connected with their friends and family. Our mission is to empower the participants we support to live the life they choose.

About the Role:

Our Disability Support Workers provide high quality, professional and individualised support by being actively involved with each participant, through assisting within their home and surrounding community. Previous experience supporting people who require Positive Behaviour Support Plans will be advantageous.

*YOU MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK SLEEPOVERS AND WEEKENDS*

We are seeking experienced, enthusiastic, motivated and dedicated individuals to support our participants who can commit to our rosters, including sleepovers. These hours are typically 2.45pm until 10.00pm, followed by an inactive sleepover from 10.00pm until 6.00am then resuming at 6.00am until 8.45am.

If you are successful, you will assist our participants with the following:

  • Daily living skills
  • Domestic tasks, e.g. cooking, cleaning, laundry, and shopping
  • Community connections
  • Personal care
  • Administering medication

About you:

To be successful in this role, you will be passionate about providing quality, individualised support to people of all abilities and backgrounds.

Essential Requirements Include:

  • Be available to work sleepover shifts and weekends
  • The ability to problem solve, read cues, adapt and respond calmly in any situation
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Working With Children's Check (Blue Card)
  • Current QLD Drivers Licence
  • Current First Aid & CPR
  • National Police Check (issued within the last 3 months)
  • Right to Work in Australia evidence
  • Minimum Cert III in Individualised Support or other relevant industry qualification
  • Understanding and experience following Positive Behaviour Support Plans
