About the role

Goody's on the Beach is looking for an experienced CHEF to join our team in Hervey Bay, Queensland. As a member of our kitchen, you will be responsible for preparing and delivering high-quality cuisine to our discerning guests. This is an excellent opportunity to showcase your culinary talents in a vibrant coastal setting.

What you'll be doing

  • Preparing a wide range of dishes from our menu, ensuring consistent quality and presentation
  • Assisting with menu development and creating new, seasonal specials
  • Maintaining a clean, organised and efficient kitchen environment
  • Adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations
  • Providing guidance and mentorship to junior kitchen staff
  • Collaborating with the front-of-house team to deliver exceptional customer service

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 1 years' experience as a Chef in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality setting
  • Formal culinary training or qualifications, such as a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
  • Expert knowledge of food preparation, presentation and menu planning
  • Exceptional time management and multitasking skills
  • A passion for creating delicious, high-quality dishes
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
  • An understanding of food safety and hygiene best practices
