The Lionleigh Pub is a popular locals pub; it has a great social vibe, and has a family friendly bistro offer for lunch and dinner daily. We pride ourselves on offering good quality food, inspired by local produce and of course thirst quenching beer

We are seeking a Head Chef to head up our kitchen, to continue the growth and success of our food offer. You will oversee a small established and loyal kitchen team, working alongside the Publican to drive the business, and enjoy the challenge of:

  • Sourcing seasonal and local produce, and incorporating ingredients creatively and cost-effectively into the menu;
  • Fully costing menu items, ordering and maintaining stock levels as well as minimising waste;
  • Working under pressure while at the same time having a calm and friendly disposition to get the best from your team;
  • Prioritising workloads and maintaining self-composure;
  • Developing your computer skills by utilising innovative food management systems (including My Local Foodie).

Our requirements are that you will have:

  • Have completed your Commercial Cookery Certificate III or higher.
  • Have at least 2-3 years in a Head Chef role.
  • Be competent with Workplace Health & Safety, and Food Safety standards;
  • Be fully committed, hands on, and have a passion for cooking;
  • Be creative and willing to put forward ideas and challenge us
  • Enjoy extra bonus payments for meeting or exceeding your KPI's $$$$$$
