As Centre Manager at our Townsville centre, you will lead a passionate, transdisciplinary team dedicated to delivering high-quality early intervention and education within the AEIOU framework.   • Permanent full-time role in a purpose-built, autism-specific early intervention centre.
  • Current hourly rate: $51.27 to $52.36 dependent on level of experience, plus  annual salary progression and annual anniversary bonuses.Note: AEIOU has applied for the additional 10% Government Worker Retention Payment, and are currently awaiting the outcome of that application.

The position:You'll receive a thorough handover from the current Centre Manager, who is regrettably moving on to pursue other opportunities, with an anticipated start date in October. The role will:

  • Lead and mentor a professional, multidisciplinary team delivering evidence-based early intervention services.
  • Build strong, authentic relationships with children, families, and the wider community.
  • Ensure operational excellence and full compliance with national and state standards, legislation, and safety requirements.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, including compliance, staffing, and resource management.

You will:

  • Have a proven ability to lead, inspire and manage a team of professionals, ensuring optimal performance and a highly engaged team.
  • Have capability to handle day-to-day operations, including staffing, budgeting and resource allocation.
  • Demonstrate accountability for the execution and quality of results through professionalism, persistence and transparency.
  • Foster an inclusive workplace where health, safety and wellbeing are promoted and prioritised for everyone.
  • Pursue opportunities for growth through learning and development of self-awareness using 'Reflective Practice' principles.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework, National Disability Insurance Scheme, National Quality Framework, and Human Services Quality Framework.

This is a position that minimally requires a Diploma level qualification in Children's Services, Early Education, or Early Childhood. Qualifications will be considered together with professional experience in a Centre Manager/Director or similar leadership position. You will also be require to hold an ACEQUA approved child protection training.

Experience working with children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or Neurodivergent communities is desirable but not essential.

The successful applicant will require a working with children clearance and NDIS worker screening clearance. AEIOU will support you in applying for these clearances.
