Mayfield Early Education Home Hill is seeking an Acting Centre Manager to join our close-knit team for a 4-month fixed-term contract. With a multitude of Centres across QLD, VIC and SA who knows, this could be the start of a whole new career for you...

This is more than just a leadership position—it's an opportunity to shape futures, inspire your team, and support the next generation of little legends as they discover, grow, and become the best versions of themselves.

  • Generous enrolment discounts for your children at any Mayfield Centre.
  • Career development opportunities including a monthly leadership series and clear career pathways.
  • Professional development that goes beyond the ordinary — including the chance to participate in overseas study tours

  • Above Award pay rates – we recognise and reward your experience and dedication.
  • 10% wage uplift through the Educator Retention Grant.
  • Sign-on and referral bonuses – because we're excited to have you and value the people you bring.
  • Reward & recognition programs that highlight the everyday wins and milestones that matter.
  • 24/7 wellbeing support through Sonder for you and your family—because your wellbeing matters too.
What You'll Do

As the Acting Centre Manager you'll lead with compassion, ensuring smooth operations while fostering a supportive, inclusive, and creative environment for children, staff and families.  You'll have the rewarding responsibility of guiding your team, celebrating successes and shaping an enriching space for all who walk through the doors.

What We're Looking For:

To succeed in this role, you'll bring a mix of heart, leadership, and professional knowledge.

  • Diploma, Advanced Diploma, or Bachelor equivalent in Early Childhood.
  • Valid WWCC and current First Aid/CPR Certificate.
  • Sound knowledge of Child Safe Standards, EYLF, and NQS.
  • Training in child protection, Red Nose, and food safety (or willingness to obtain).
  • Exceptional communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
  • A proactive, collaborative spirit with a passion for excellence in early education.
  • Previous experience in a childcare leadership role is highly regarded (but not essential).
Why Mayfield?

Because we're not just another Early Education provider. At Mayfield, we're a community where professional development is encouraged, growth is celebrated, and every team member has the chance to shine. You'll be part of a supportive, driven team who believe in nurturing not only the children in our care, but also the educators who inspire them every day.
