Commercial Loss Adjuster

As a Commercial Loss Adjuster, you will be an impartial and independent specialist in the assessment of commercial property insurance claims. Using your expertise, you'll assess and resolve insurance claims by determining the cause, liability, and quantum of reported losses.

What are my accountabilities? 

  • Assess claims through on-site visits using our commercial process, systems and technologies

  • Manage a portfolio of claims from initial advice to settlement, following Sedgwick's policies and procedures.

  • Investigate the cause and extent of loss, ensuring efficiency and a customer-focused approach.

  • Determine if the loss falls within the insurance policy's terms and conditions.

  • Deliver loss-adjusting services that meet or exceed client service standards.

  • Provide proactive communication with clients and customers on initial findings and potential solutions.

  • Calculate repair and/or replacement costs (reserve).

About you:

  • Prior adjusting experience

  • Will to study or hold a professional qualification recognized by the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF)

  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills.

  • Passionate about customer service, with the ability to engage with various stakeholders.

  • Self-motivated with strong time management and organizational skills.

  • Current and valid driver's licence
