AIC Mines owns the Eloise Copper Mine located near Cloncurry, QLD. Eloise is an established underground operation using conventional crush-grind-float processing to produce a high-grade copper-gold concentrate. We are currently expanding Eloise following the acquisition of the nearby Jericho deposit and are actively advancing several other copper and gold exploration projects across Australia.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Process Shift Supervisor to lead the daily operations of our processing plant.  Reporting to the Processing Superintendent, you will be responsible for supervising a team of operators, ensuring safe and efficient plant performance, and driving continuous improvement across all stages of the process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate all aspects of the processing plant (crushing, grinding, flotation and tailings management).
  • Lead and develop a team of Process Operators, fostering a culture of safety, accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor plant performance to achieve production and metallurgical targets.
  • Organise with maintenance and technical teams to plan and implement corrective actions or plant improvements.
  • Coordinate isolation processes, including designing isolation plans for planned/unplanned work, issuing/closing permits, and auditing compliance.
  • Conduct shift handovers, safety briefings, and performance reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with site safety systems, environmental obligations, and company standards.
  • Identify training needs and coach team members to build capability and future leadership.
  • Maintain exceptional housekeeping and plant presentation standards.

About You

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a mineral processing environment (preferably copper/gold flotation).
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience in a processing plant environment and possess G189 qualification.
  • Strong understanding of crushing, grinding, and flotation circuits.
  • High safety standards with demonstrated leadership in safe work practices.
  • Effective communication and decision-making skills under pressure.
  • Competent computer and reporting skills (control systems, logs, shift reports).
  • Current C-Class Driver's Licence.
  • Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance.

Desirable:

  • Cert IV in Leadership & Management or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Mobile plant operation experience (loader, skid steer, excavator).
  • Experience supporting commissioning new plant to nameplate.

The position is FIFO to Cloncurry then bus to the Eloise Copper Mine from Townsville or Brisbane. The roster is 8/6 day shift and 7/7 night shift, subject to operational requirements.  Local candidates from Cloncurry or surrounding communities can commute via bus from Cloncurry and are encouraged to apply.
