About the role

This is a full-time role with Ingham Road Seafood in Townsville, QLD 4810. As a Supervisor / Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the operational team and overseeing the day-to-day activities of the business. The role requires a versatile individual with experience in the retail, wholesale and seafood industry.

What you'll be doing

  • Assisting the management team in overseeing the operations of the business
  • Supervising and coordinating the retail, processing and wholesale staff
  • Covering various roles when staff are unwell or on leave
  • Ensuring high standards of customer service and product quality
  • Handling cash, stock control, and other administrative tasks as required
  • Providing training and support to the team as needed
  • Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
  • Representing the company in a professional manner at all times

What we're looking for

  • Demonstrated experience in a supervisory or management role within the hospitality, seafood and retail industry
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to work well in a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays
