The Role

Now our company is looking for a highly motivated full-time Education Counsellor ,who has the real intention to enter the education services industry, to join our growing team to take over an active desk. The office locates in Melbourne CBD, and we expect you to start as soon as possible. Please note fluent in Mandarin is ESSENTIAL for this position.

Education Counsellor

Key responsibilities:

• Develop new clients and build close relationships with potential clients;
• Provide education consulting services to existing clients through a combination of phone and face-to-face sales activities;
• Assist clients with the process of Australian Student Visa applications;
• Liaise between schools and clients;
• Implement and coordinate social media strategies and campaigns;
• Actively participate in marketing event and campus activities;
• General administrative duties;
• Maintain our reputation for the highest standards of customer service in the education services industry.

The Skills

You will have excellent communication, problem solving and negotiation skills and outstanding customer service. On top of this you will be self-motivated, ambitious and be prepared to do what it takes to make SW Education's name number one in Australia. You will know what it means to be a member of a team and will be confident to speak with new prospect clients. You will have the ability of multi-tasking and love exceeding targets, as well as having knowledge of and experience in implementing and coordinating social media strategies and campaigns. No previous working experience in education industry is required, but a proven track record in sales, marketing, or business development would be advantageous as would prior experience in student recruitment.

Key Selection Criteria:

• Demonstrated understanding of and experience in Australian education market and international student recruitment industry;
• Knowledge of and experience in implementing and coordinating social media strategies and campaigns;
• High level of effective communication and excellent organizational skills;
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively both businesslike written and verbal;
• Ability to deal tactfully with confidential matters/conflicts and with people from all sectors of the community both local and international;
• A valid visa to work in Australia

To be considered for a position with SW Education you must have the right to work in Australia. You must be fluent in both English and Mandarin. An extra language skill would be highly advantageous.
