The Role: Electrical Design Engineer / Drafter

We are seeking an experienced and detail-focused Electrical Design Engineer / Drafter to join our dynamic and supportive engineering team. In this role you will work closely with the Electrical Design Manager to deliver high-quality electrical designs for public lighting and distribution across a wide range of infrastructure projects in Victoria.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake site inspections to gather electrical and lighting asset data
  • Produce detailed underground and overhead electrical designs for:
  • Powercor
  • Ausnet
  • Jemena
  • United Energy
  • Ensure compliance with distributor drafting standards and relevant Australian codes
  • Work closely with internal design and engineering teams for coordination and review
  • Manage project priorities to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery

What You'll Bring

· Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or Drafting

· – 10 years' experience as an Electrical Design Engineer / Drafter working on distributor-related projects

· Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD

· Solid understanding of:

  • Victorian electricity distributor standards
  • Australian electrical codes and AS3000
  • Electrical systems and design practices

· Strong communication and collaboration skills

· High attention to detail and ability to work independently
