UGL Utilities team is currently looking for a
Senior Project Engineer – Electrical
to commence on site on one of our projects in Perth WA. The project involves the design, construction and installation of a high voltage transmission lines and switching sub stations.
UGL'S Utilities team designs, constructs and maintains critical infrastructure across the water and power sectors. Ranging from wastewater treatment plants to power stations. We design and construct the following assets; power generation, transmission lines, substations, electrical distribution networks, water and waste water treatment plans and water pipelines.
The Opportunity
The Senior Project Engineer – Electrical, is responsible for designing, managing, and overseeing electrical projects and ensuring safety, quality and compliance.
Key Accountabilities
- Developing electrical designs and project plans ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Overseeing installation, commissioning and troubleshooting of electrical systems, including substations and transmission networks.
- Ensuring all electrical works adhere to safety protocols and relevant regulations.
- Monitoring project progress, conduct inspections and maintain documentation to meet the client's quality standards.
- Working closely with internal and external stakeholders to align project delivery with client expectations.
About You
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Proven background in Electrical Engineering for Brownfield Substation projects.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and risk management in Utilities projects.
- Effective project management and communication abilities to coordinate timelines, budgets, and stakeholders.
