Established in 1994, Pilbara Meta Maya Regional Aboriginal Corporation (PMMRAC) is a not-for-profit organisation which delivers essential services (power, water and municipal) and community services (environmental health, housing and accommodation facilities) to remote Aboriginal communities across the Pilbara, Gascoyne, and Mid-West regions of Western Australia.
About the Role
Based at our Burswood office and reporting to the HR & Payroll Manager, this role offers an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic HR professional ready to take the next step in their career.
You'll enjoy variety and exposure across the full employee lifecycle – from onboarding and contracts to compliance, training coordination, and performance support. Alongside this, you'll contribute to payroll-related processes and gain valuable experience in a well-rounded HR function.
As part of a small and supportive team, you'll be encouraged to share ideas, make an impact, and play a role in projects that enhance the way we work.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the coordination of onboarding, contracts, and employee records.
- Provide guidance on HR procedures, policies, and system use.
- Assist with recruitment activities and maintenance of position documentation.
- Contribute to compliance, reporting, and audit preparation.
- Help coordinate staff training and development activities.
- Monitor and action enquiries and routine requests.
- Assist with general payroll administration and data accuracy.
- Support employee lifecycle processes, including exits and documentation.
- Participate in HR system and project improvement initiatives.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Confident knowledge of HR operations, processes, and best practice.
- Strong administrative and organisational skills with high attention to detail.
- The ability to interpret HR policies and apply them practically.
- Comfortable working across systems (ELMO or Employment Hero) and handling confidential information.
- A collaborative approach and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Experience in a similar HR administrative or coordinator-level role.
- Exposure to payroll or HRIS systems (desirable)
- An understanding of or interest in working with remote and regional communities.
