About the Role
College Space and Project Coordinators are part of Flinders central Properties, Facilities and Development Division but are allocated to a specific College, to provide space management support and minor works improvements.
This position reports to the Manager, College Space Project Coordinators and works under general direction to deliver space management services and coordinates delivery of minor works to meet space requirements. The position also provides the primary link between the Colleges and the central Properties, Facilities and Development Division.
Acting as the key partner between the Colleges and the central Properties, Facilities and Development Division, your key areas of responsibility include:
Supporting and providing transparent, responsive and consistent high quality customer service to College management, staff, representatives and external stakeholders, in accordance with the Division's policies and procedures.
Understanding the strategic and operational needs of the colleges and aligning them to outcomes within the physical environment.
Conducting local area contractor inductions and ensuring contractor management is undertaken in accordance with organisational requirements.
Administering and managing the allocation of space within the College, ensuring accommodation usage is maximised and appropriately used in accordance with space standards.

About You
We are seeking someone with significant hands-on experience in a multidisciplinary office environment, and/or specialist expertise or broad knowledge in technical or administrative fields, or an equivalent combination of experience and/or education and/or training.
With a general understanding of the built environment with the ability to determine complex faults and maintenance requirements, exercising significant initiative and judgement, and interpreting and applying a range of accommodation and facility management standards and procedures, some of your key position capabilities will be:
General experience in, and knowledge of, processes related to contractor management, including contractor inductions.
Well-developed interpersonal, written and oral communication skills including ability to negotiate and liaise with a broad range of stakeholders and prepare correspondence and reports that convey specific concepts.
Good organisational skills including demonstrated ability to determine and prioritise tasks, attend to detail and meet deadlines.
Current Class C driver's licence..
About Property, Facilities and Development
This role is part of the Property, Facilities and Development (PFD) team at Flinders. Our team works across all of Flinders' places, spaces, and physical infrastructure. We work across five key areas: Strategic Planning and Customer Experience; Capital Development; Customer and Site Services; Sustainability and Strategic Projects. The team are responsible for the planning, development, capital delivery, management, and maintenance of all University spaces to ensure they are fit for purpose and support Flinders to deliver its strategic objectives.
