The mission for our Workplace Branch is to ‘develop and deliver property and workplace solutions for the people of transport’.

Our team has adopted a Hybrid way of working. We come together once a week and for moments that matter. The team hub is located in Sydney city or Macquarie Park.

**The Opportunity**

Right now we have an exciting opportunity for a Space Planner to join us in the Workplace Experience team on a permanent basis**.**

The role is responsible for the planning and management of space requirements across the Transport cluster of accommodation sites.

**Key accountabilities**
- Validate and provide viable solutions to address requests for workspace, negotiate and coordinate changes in space allocations between business units.
- Monitor workspace requirements to identify space shortfall, oversupply and vacancy rates, and engage with business units on misalignments and un-forecasted changes. Escalate and recommend potential solutions where insufficient space is available. Solutions may include space allocation changes, refurbishment works and/or procuring additional office space.
- Build strong business relationships with divisional contacts, including the workplace administrators, and the DMOs/ Director levels to gain an understanding of the medium to long-term workspace requirements, visibility of business strategies and an in-depth understanding of the teams which affect workspace requirements.
- Develop an understanding of site-specific facilities and incorporate into office space calculations based on accommodation standards.
- Perform stack and move plan analysis
- Conduct on-site inspections, validate fit-out layouts and other facilities and/or assess external consultants test fits.
- Provide analysis and reporting on space utilisation, allocations, occupancy, vacancy space requests and chargeback costs.
- Maintain space management systems to ensure reflection of allocations and occupancy, including the workplace and storage.
- Provide instruction, training and support to staff regarding space management processes and systems.

**About you**

To be successful in this role, you will need:

- You are a seasoned Space Planner looking for an opportunity to make a difference at Transport for NSW.
- You have extensive experience in space planning, design, change management or relocations
- Ideally, you also have a strong grasp of Project Management.
- Tertiary qualifications in design, change or related qualification and/or relevant experience.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills with outstanding verbal and written communications
- Experience in managing multiple projects concurrently
- Advanced level MS Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Can balance working individually and collaboratively with a team
- Learning mindset with a positive can-do attitude
- You will need to be available to travel to project sites when needed

Having experience with using Serra View will be highly regarded.

**Salary and Benefits**

The salary for this position is Grade 8A ($123,470) - 8E ($138,284) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
