This is a full-time permanent opportunity based in Gadigal Country (Sydney).
Your Role Join our NSW Casualty Underwriting team as a Senior Liability Underwriter, where you'll be underwriting liability lines insurance risks, ensuring they align with our business strategy, risk appetite, and regulatory requirements. We're looking for a skilled Senior Underwriter to help drive the growth and profitability of our liability portfolio. In this role, you'll assess and price moderate to complex risks, apply targeted underwriting strategies, and support key operational activities such as credit management and servicing. You'll provide class-leading levels of customer service to our Broking partners, grow the portfolio utilizing your relationship skills and market contacts, collaborate with internal teams and intermediaries to strengthen client relationships, lead the use of rating tools, and mentor junior team members to contribute to portfolio performance and team success.
Responsibilities Underwrite liability lines insurance risks in alignment with business strategy, risk appetite, and regulatory requirements.
Assess and price moderate to complex risks, apply underwriting strategies, and support credit management and servicing.
Provide exceptional customer service to Broking partners and grow the portfolio through relationship building and market contacts.
Collaborate with internal teams and intermediaries to strengthen client relationships and lead the use of rating tools.
Mentor junior team members and contribute to portfolio performance and team success.
Qualifications Liability underwriting or liability broking experience required.
Experience with insurance legal and regulatory environments, as well as risk analysis and selection.
Intermediate knowledge of pricing, portfolio management, and intermediary
