Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Senior Underwriter to join our team, where you will be responsible for underwriting liability lines insurance risks. This is a full-time permanent opportunity based in Sydney.

As a Senior Underwriter, you will assess and price moderate to complex risks, applying targeted underwriting strategies and supporting key operational activities such as credit management and servicing.

You will provide exceptional customer service to Broking partners, growing the portfolio through relationship building and market contacts. You will also collaborate with internal teams and intermediaries to strengthen client relationships and lead the use of rating tools.

Mentoring junior team members and contributing to portfolio performance and team success will be an important part of your role.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Liability underwriting or liability broking experience required.
  • Experience with insurance legal and regulatory environments, as well as risk analysis and selection.
  • Intermediate knowledge of pricing, portfolio management, and intermediary services.
