
Data Governance Analyst

Working in the Data Reliability Tribe, the Data Governance Analyst is responsible for undertaking root cause analysis to resolve operational risk data related incidents, deliver the quantitative analysed data for solution recommendation, document the process and present the solution to the stakeholders for approval. Provide analytic and data expertise to help Latitude manage our business risk effectively.

Deliver Responses to Operational Risk Data Incidents
- Deliver data responses to stakeholders by leveraging you own technical skills to manipulate data, identify root causes and solve problems
- Assist in the planning of the analytics stream to ensure all timelines are met, calling out roadblocks or competing priorities as they arise
- Ensure the accuracy of data being provided
- Create data lineage documentation and ensure repeatability
Support the Enterprise with Analysis of Operational Risk Data Related Incidents
- Deliver analytics and data to enable Latitude to successfully manage our Business Risk Profile.
- Define & document business requirements by facilitating user meetings and interviewing users, developing use cases, and researching and resolving issues.
- Drive & uplift data quality by enabling the investigation & resolution of data quality issues raised within our business
- Provide analytics to quantify and remediate Operational Risk data related events
- Suggest process improvements to mitigate future remediation activities
Stakeholder management
- Liaise closely with the internal teams from the business to detail requirements for all analytic activities. Ensure that challenges are raised to the appropriate channels in a timely manner
- Accountability to record and deliver agreed work in progress in a timely and accurate manner
Building Team Capability
- Work collaboratively with the broader analytics team
- Participate in the development and knowledge sharing of best practices within Data Reliability Team.
- Support analysts within the team by sharing your technical knowledge, business acumen etc to assist in the development of others
Let’s talk about you:
- Experience in a data management or analytics role
- Strong SQL skills (mandatory), Oracle/Snowflake (recommended), Python skills, ETL or Informatica knowledge
- desirable, and an aptitude to learn quickly
- Stakeholder management skills and the ability to navigate complex environments to ensure the best outcomes
- Project discipline and the ability to work in an agile environment
- Experience in management of large datasets to ensure integrity, quality, accuracy of data for analysis
- Logical thinker, strong analytical and mathematical skills, with excellent attention to detail
- Commercial acumen in the interpretation of data
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with proven capability to articulate and present complex information
- Strong Excel skills
Desirable
- Experience within a financial services or insurance environment
- Knowledge of Credit Reporting Standards
- Have some experience or working knowledge of Cloud technologies like AWS S3, Airflow, Snowflake would be highly advantageous.
