AGL Energy is a leading energy company committed to innovation and sustainability. We are at the forefront of Virtual Power Plant (VPP) orchestration, leveraging our internally developed VPP management platform, NEO. As we scale our operations, we are looking for a talented VPP Data Analyst for a 7 months max term contract to join our dynamic team.

As a VPP Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of our operational and strategic objectives. You will analyze big data to ensure compliance with market rules, develop new features and models for the NEO platform, and present actionable business insights. Your work will directly impact the efficiency and profitability of our VPP operations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development and delivery of VPP projects.- Perform analyses on customer behaviors, network requirements, and operational optimization.- Present data analysis results and complex modeling ideas to stakeholders.- Monitor delivered models via analytical dashboards and tools.- Develop and maintain reporting processes.- Provide analytical and system investigation support to VPP operational queries.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree in Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Software Engineering, or equivalent.- Understanding and experience in energy market operations.- Experience in handling large amounts of data is highly regarded.- Exposure to big project delivery involving multiple stakeholders is highly regarded.

**Skills**:
- Proficiency in data analytics and mining.- Strong dashboard/reporting skills.- Data quality assurance and cleaning.- Experience with SQL or equivalent query languages.- Ability to communicate complex analytical insights to stakeholders.- Programming skills in Python or R (optional).- Ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
