**About the role**
Due to growth, we have two new 12-month contracts created for Business Initiatives Specialists to work hand in hand with the Insurance Product and Distribution team. Reporting to the Management team, you will support delivery by taking ownership of activities, issues, or risks, and work in partnership with divisions to ensure initiatives completed within timeframes. As a Business Initiatives Specialist, you will lead pieces of work, gather evidence and present back to the division, providing solutions and driving growth. Your key duties will include:
- Translating business issues, challenges and objectives into concrete, tangible solutions whilst shaping offering and response capabilities
- Building effective partnerships across senior stakeholders as required, understanding the impacts of business initiatives, delivering solution-oriented service with member-focussed outcomes
- Gathering insights from the business through review of data analysis, identifying trends and developing innovative solutions which create increased value for members, and
- Understanding member experience pain points, to support thinking and drive improvement in proposed solutions.
**About you**
As a Business Initiatives Specialist, it is important that you are a highly communicative self-starter and can adapt to an environment where priorities can change day to day. You will be highly organised, coordinating meetings, having discussions, and following up with stakeholders. You will be inquisitive, seeking to understand pain-points, support thinking and drive improvement - becoming a key advisor to your stakeholders. As well as these attributes, is important that you have:
- A tertiary qualification or equivalent experience within relevant business area
- At least 3-5 years relevant experience within a complex commercial environment
- Refined interpersonal skills, enabling confidence with developing and delivering presentations to management and key stakeholder groups
- Proven ability in task management including prioritising multiple and often competing business initiatives, and
- Experience in business transformation, business analysis or project management
