**About the Role**
We have an exciting opportunity to join our village leadership team as a Facilities Manager at the largest retirement village in the southern hemisphere - Nellie Melba. This is a Full Time position working Monday to Friday 0800 - 1600.
Ryman Healthcare are proud of its world class retirement living facilities, with beautiful gardens and grounds for residents to enjoy. Our Facilities Manager will be expected to develop and maintain a proactive approach to the management and supervision of reactive and programmed maintenance. With experience in project and contractor management, the Facilities Manager will play a role in project delivery for any redevelopment works and assisting in managing sales refurbishments.
There is a strong focus on communication and leading by example in this role as the Facilities Manager will supervise our small but mighty village Gardening & Maintenance team with the ability to exhibit a "hands on" approach, as needed. As the village operates 24 hours seven days a week, there is an on-call component to this role and afterhours attendance may be necessary from time to time as the Facilities Manager is the primary contact for all facility issues.
This role has a strong focus on health and safety, maintenance standards, environmental and sustainability practices to ensure our villages are enjoyed by residents for years to come.

- Outstanding communication skills
- Sound knowledge of building codes and practices, regulations, and requirements
- Strong understanding of risk management along with OHS
