Quest Woolloongabba is a 131 apartment room property located in Woolloongabba is located in the famous “Gabba” precinct only a stone's throw away from The Gabba cricket ground. The hotel is just minutes from the Brisbane CBD, South Bank Parklands, Princes Theatre and Gabba Central Shopping Centre. One of the oldest suburbs in Brisbane, Woolloongabba is also well regarded for its cafés and restaurants The property opened in 2014 and is home for AFL & Cricket fans as well as preferred accommodation of many local corporations.

At Quest Woolloongabba, we’re on the lookout for a new Housekeeping Executive Team Leader to join its team on a Full Time basis working 38 hours per week.

The Role

Reporting to the General Manager, the role involves leading a small housekeeping team as well as hands on work in the delivery of housekeeping and room attendant services for the apartments and cleaning of common areas to ensure the presentation of our property in line with the high standards of the Quest brand and to ensure the highest levels of guest satisfaction.

Your team leadership activities will involve working closely with the General Manager & Front Office Manager on recruitment, rostering, training and leadership of the housekeeping team to ensure high levels of work productivity and quality, positive employee engagement and retention, and strong alignment with Quest’s established model and procedures.

Will demonstrate a can-do, responsible, and flexible approach to work, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a passion for customer service, a keen eye for detail, excellent organisational skills, strong leadership skills, and a strong appreciation of workplace safety.

Prior experience in housekeeping in a business environment is essential, and prior experience with leading a housekeeping team would be an advantage.

Whilst not essential, tertiary qualifications in a business discipline or the hospitality, travel or tourism industries would be highly regarded.

The successful applicant must be available to work shifts, weekends and public holidays, and have entitlements to work in Australia.
