**About Us**:
The Grumpy Baker is an established café and bakery with over 20 years of successful operations in various locations. We pride ourselves on our rich heritage and passion for creating delicious baked goods. Our head office is located in the vibrant suburb of Marrickville, and we are looking for a dedicated Office Administrator to join our close-knit team.
**Position Overview**:
As an Office Administrator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our head office. You will be the backbone of our administrative functions, supporting the owner and collaborating with various departments to keep The Grumpy Baker running seamlessly. We are looking for someone to fill this role in the long-term so please no temporary visas or university students.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Generating and maintaining ordering processes.
- Stock management to ensure we always have the necessary supplies.
- Performing general office duties, including paperwork and communication.
- Liaising with contractors and customers.
- Processing catering orders.
- Supporting the bookkeeper with financial tasks.
- Occasionally processing payroll.
- Sourcing new suppliers and negotiating prices.
- Handling any other reasonable duties assigned based on your position, training, and experience.
**Qualifications**:
- Proven experience in an administrative or office support role.
- Proficiency in Xero or similar accounting software.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
- A friendly and proactive attitude, with a willingness to assist with various tasks.
