An AO7 Principal Communications Officer vacancy is available in the Workforce and Client Experience division of the Queensland Revenue Office.

Create and manage organisation-wide communication material, crafting compelling stories and narratives in a creative and interactive way to capture audience engagement including for corporate communication channels, external publications, online and social platforms, media releases, speeches, staff newsletters, brochures and other communication collateral.

Your typical day as a Principal Communications Officer may include:

  • collaborating with business areas to take a brief on a new challenge or issue, designing a comms and engagement approach and preparing assets to help them deliver the right message at the right time
  • planning internal communications, interviewing staff and creating and sharing stories that highlight the great work across the organisation
  • crafting content for social, stakeholders and clients that connects with and educates audiences
  • responding to media issues, working with subject matter experts to deliver an organisational response
  • managing a small team to deliver comms solutions that improve client experience.

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate a high level of relevant experience, superior written communication and strong interpersonal skills.
