The Directorate of Navy Governance has a newly created APS5 Knowledge Management Officer position which will be required to participate in the ongoing development, update and sustainment of the Navy Lessons Program. The Navy Lessons Program enables Navy to collectively learn from experience, promotes continuous improvement and supports innovation. By implementing an organisation learning culture through this program, Navy learns from both its mistakes and successes. You will be instrumental in the effective operation of the Navy Lessons Program.

Some of the key duties of this role are:

- Assist with the collation and management of the Navy Lessons Program knowledge repository.
- Engage with Navy stakeholders to assist them with the maintenance of content within the Navy Lessons repository.
- Assist the respective Navy Domain Lesson Managers with understanding their requirements as detailed in the Navy Lessons Program.
- Use your knowledge management skills to assist the Staff Officer 2 (SO2) Optimisation with the management of the Navy Lessons Working Group and Lessons Board.
- Assist in the provision of reports and returns, including corrective action reporting.
- Liaise and collaborate with other Defence Group and Service Lessons stakeholders to assist in the improvement of Navy and the overarching Defence Lessons capture and implementation systems.

**About our Team**
Working to the Director Navy Governance, you are part of the team that is embedded in a dynamic environment, supporting Navy outcomes. You will be part of the Navy Governance team which currently consists of a blended workforce of ADF, APS and Contractors. The key part of your role will be working with the Navy Library team to manage the Navy Lessons Program on behalf of Chief of Staff Navy Headquarters.

- Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to build productive relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small, high performing team.
- Ability to handle sensitive information in accordance with government security requirements.
