**About the Role**:
The South Australian Skills Commission (the Commission) regulates the apprenticeship/ traineeship system in South Australia and advises the Minister for Education, Training and Skills on the quality and performance of vocational education and training (VET) and adult community education (ACE) in South Australia.

The Commission has established ten Industry Skills Councils that support this ministerial advisory role as well as its other legislated functions (under the South Australian Skills Act 2008) and that also act as key points of industry engagement for the remainder of government.

The Registration and Compliance Officer is responsible for:

- Administering and regulating delegated elements of the traineeship and apprenticeship system in accordance with the South Australian Skills Act 2008;
- Providing education and advice on the operation of the South Australian Skills Act 2008 to both internal and external stakeholders; Exercising initiative and judgement in fulfilling duties, including in delivering regulatory priorities and associated compliance plans.

**Special Conditions**:
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN -EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

**Remuneration**:
ASO4 $75,430 - $79,070 per annum (1.0 FTE), plus superannuation
