**Job Description**:
**Job Summary**

To enhance CAPA - Centre for Aviation’s coverage of aviation data through the maintenance and expansion of company traffic and financial databases. Searching existing sources of data and researching for new sources of data, as well as to input, update and maintain information on computer systems involving entering numerical information into computerised databases. Working with other CAPA departments to ensure that all relevant and up to date data are captured.

**Responsibilities**
- ** Searching company websites for new data content**
- Ensure stipulated searches are completed daily in a time effective and comprehensive manner
- Ensure the list of relevant searches are up to date at all times and expanded as required to ensure maximum and comprehensive coverage for sector - airlines, airline groups, country aviation data, financials and tourism
- Covering other team member/s’ searches when they are on leave
- ** Maintaining airline traffic data, financials and tourism data**
- Ensure data coverage in your allocated sectors are up to date daily
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of CAPA airline traffic, financials, country aviation traffic and country tourism databases
- Assist with other data updates as required
- ** Continued research and updating for new sources of data**
- Researching new sources of data for airlines, airline groups, financials, country aviation data and country tourism
- Ensure additional research into industry trends, or any queries from manager/customers/senior analysts, is conducted
- ** Writing data news briefs for publication in daily newsletters**
- Analysing and writing up data releases in CAPA brief format for publication
- Ensure data news coverage for your sectors are completed by COB on a daily basis
- Assisting other team members to ensure all content is completed to meet daily deadlines
- ** Maintaining and updating the airport construction database**
- Ensure the database is updated daily in a timely and accurate manner
- Create new airport profiles as required
- ** Data reporting**
- Exporting data from the system and creating infographics on request

**Qualifications**:
**Education/Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree or tertiary level qualification

**Competencies**:

- Exceptional attention to detail
- Proficiency in excel
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Initiative and enthusiastic
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Interest in aviation
- Ability to analyse and interpret data
- Proficiency with SQL (preferrd)
