**What the day will look like**

Join our successful and expanding operation as an Actuarial Analyst. You’ll be responsible for performing and reviewing risk assessment and valuation of clients’ portfolios for the purpose of structuring, optimising, and pricing reinsurance.

Responsibilities will include:

- Oversee analysis of client data including catastrophe modelling and small actuarial projects
- Complete complex actuarial projects using techniques such as experience and exposure rating, and making use of stochastic modelling analyses
- Effectively manage stakeholder engagements and communicate results to these stakeholders using written reports and/or presentations
- Provide mentoring for graduate members of the team

**Skills and experience that will lead to success**

You’re comfortable working in a fast paced and dynamic environment and you’re ready to a step into a role that combined technical work and client interaction. To be successful you will have:

- A bachelor’s degree majoring in a relevant field such as actuarial studies, mathematics, or statistics
- Be actuarially qualified or working towards your actuarial qualifications
- Proficient in the use of catastrophe models and relevant actuarial techniques
- Understand the theory and practicalities of stochastic modelling, with a view to be able to run our proprietary software ReMetrica
- Advanced Excel and SQL skills and strong working knowledge of MS Word and presentation software such as PowerPoint
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- The ability to work well within a team along with excellent organisation skills and the ability to work autonomously and under pressure
- Self-discipline to manage own workflow and deadlines with excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
