As an Actuary / Actuarial Analyst in the actuarial team, your role is to provide insightful analysis of claims experience and other items that drive outcomes and financial performance across the full range of EML’s business. The role encompasses reporting and forecasting of claims and recovery outcomes, profitability, operational needs and resourcing requirements as well as input to underwriting, across a broad range of workers compensation business streams, and emerging CTP and personal injury offerings.

Your role also involves contributing to business development, providing education to EML’s clients and staff, and liaison with our clients and their actuarial advisors.

This will be a **permanent** position commencing **ASAP** based in the **Sydney** office, with flexibility to work from home.

**YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Modelling and forecasting of performance and financial outcomes
- Development and provision of incisive analysis and reporting tools to support improved claims management processes and operational performance.
- Review of external actuarial valuation reports and development and maintenance of

analysis to track, investigate and communicate experience features indicative of

portfolio and scheme performance
- Development of analysis and reporting to support the contractual specifications

associated with new business and contract renewals and input to Input into negotiation

of contractual specifications of claim performance and remuneration structures
- Compilation of quantitative and qualitative information required for the insurance liability

valuations

**ABOUT YOU**
- University actuarial degree
- Additional statistics qualifications desirable
- Associateship of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia
- Commitment to progress toward qualification as a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia
- Knowledge of general insurance valuation, pricing & analysis techniques
- 2 or more years’ worker’s compensation experience in managing agent and underwritten settings
- Experience working with CTP business
- SAS/SQL, R and Excel competency
- Superior oral and written communication skills

**Salary**: $83,000.00 - $88,000.00 per year
