About Us
Enforcement and Support Services (ESS) is a business until within Fines and Enforcement Services, Department of Justice and Community Safety's Fines, Registration and Crime Prevention group. ESS is responsible for managing the end-to-end infringement system in Victoria.
About the Role
Reporting to the Manager, Debt Program, the Debt Analyst and Insights Officer will perform data analysis and research on debt pools and cohorts. The Debt Analyst and Insights Officer will design and deliver reports, insights and debt campaign recommendations to inform key business decisions and actions in relation to the enforcement and collection of unpaid fines.
The Debt Analyst and Insights Officer will assist in the development and preparation of debt campaign projects based on appropriate analysis, modelling and data mining to ensure that Enforcement and Support Services is best able to discharge its functions.
About You
- Efficient in using and extracting data from an Enterprise Data Warehouse
- Experience creating customer persona data models using data science techniques
- Demonstrated experience extracting, cleansing and analysing very large and complex data sets using advanced SQL
- Experience analysing large and complex datasets
- A strong ability to guide others in operating digital and technology tools relevant to area of work, and to understand the impact of the internal IT landscape to daily operations. Also has broad understanding on implementation activities related to the introduction and ongoing maintenance of new digital and technology tools
- Experience working in debt collection environments is highly regarded.
