Exploring the role
In this role as Manager – Risk, Governance & Internal Audit, you'll partner with internal teams to support them to strengthen their risk management practices, offer strategic risk insights to the Executive Team and Board, and help build a proactive, forward-thinking risk culture throughout CoAct.
You'll also play a key role in shaping the risk framework for CoAct's new school and allied health initiatives, helping to build safe, effective, and well-governed services that deliver lasting impact for our communities.
You'll work across a broad range of operational, compliance, and enterprise risk matters, combining commercial acumen with analytical capability to make a tangible impact. You will oversee risk management, oversee and undertake internal audits, and support the executive team with governance matters.
Your key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Play a leading role in CoAct's governance and risk approach as we diversify our organisation and expand into schools and allied health
- Maintain and continuously improve the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework, including partnering with internal team stakeholders to embed and uplift risk management practices
- Undertake internal audits of the CoAct Quality Management System
- Develop Executive Team, Board and Committee papers relating to Risk matters requiring review or endorsement
- Ensure compliance with Quality Assurance Framework, ISO, and Disability Service Standards
- Supervise CoAct's Contract Administrator, supporting contract administration and complaints management
A little about you
- A natural passion for all things risk-related
- Experience in building and maintaining Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) frameworks, ideally within human services
- Experience undertaking internal audits
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex issues clearly and draft reports within deadlines
- Highly organised, deadline-driven, and proactive, with strong time management skills
- Strong analytical skills to collect, interpret, and apply a broad range of information
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships
