Payroll Advisor

Key area's of responsibility for this role include:
- End-to-end processing of fortnightly payrolls for approx. 450 employees, including new hires, timesheets, salary increases, back pays, leaves, bonuses, terminations and payslip distribution- Ensuring all payroll transactions are processed in a timely and accurate manner- Maintain and update payroll Masterfile data and Superannuation Clearing House- Reconcile, upload/ lodge and process payments for Superannuation, Payroll Tax (multiple states), External Parties on monthly basis- Prepare payroll and financial reports on fortnightly and monthly basis, such as head counts, leave liability, payroll costing, accruals, End of Month and End of Year reports- Assisting in processing End of Month and End of Year payroll- Assisting in annual payroll event such as STI payments, budgeting, payroll annual reconciliation and workers' compensation- Resolving payroll discrepancies and general queries to multiple stakeholders- On-going maintenance and upgrading of payroll system-
- Actively ensure own health and safety and the health and safety of others through understanding and implementing workplace health and safety obligations- Support and comply with Company policies and procedures as advised and documented in the Company’s employment policies as amended from time to time and as directed by Managers/Supervisors- In addition to the duties set out above, the Payroll Advisor may be expected to perform other duties as assigned from time to time by the Company
**Qualifications and Experience**- Strong end-to-end payroll experience in a corporate environment (5 years+ plus is preferrable)- Accurate and attentive to detail- Professional communication skills- An excellent track record of working independently- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of awards, superannuation, taxation, legislation, payroll.- Proficiency in Microsoft 365- Contributes to the spirit of co-operation and understanding among the work group- Micropay and Oracle experience preferred
