**Project Overview**:
Bechtel Mining and Metals offers engineering, procurement, and construction services for customers in the mining sector across multiple commodities including Iron Ore, Bauxite, Alumina, Aluminium, Copper, Gold, Coal, Lithium and Rare Earths markets.

Headquartered in Santiago, Chile, the M&M global business unit also has offices in Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide in Australia along with execution units in the United States, Peru, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, India and other project locations around the world.

**Job Summary**:
As a Contracts Manager, you will lead a team to manage subcontracts and monitor operations where you will develop the subcontracting strategy, operating procedures, staffing plan, and the contracts section of the Project Execution Plan.

You will review and approve bit details, commitment and negotiations. Your oversight will ensure project subcontracting is consistent and that requirements have been implemented.
- This position is designated as pert-time telework per our global telework policy and may require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person scheduled will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership._

**Major Responsibilities**:

- Participates with the project team on a large project in defining and developing the scope of Contracts work, and in preparing and coordinating Contract plans, procedures, schedules, estimates, forecasts, and budgets
- Contributes Contracts input to the preparation and/or modifications of the project’s prime contract
- Prepares and/or directs preparation of commercial terms and conditions for use on all project contract documents, ensuring that requirements of the prime contract are incorporated
- Coordinates Contract execution plan with Engineering and Construction plans and operations to ensure that input from these disciplines will enable Contracts to perform its functions in accordance with project plans
- Reviews commitment approvals and execution/signature authorities and ensures commitments are made in accordance with Corporate and Contract policies and procedures
- Manages the Subcontract for a contract of medium risk or complexity
- Other responsibilities as designated.

**Education and Experience Requirements**:

- Requires bachelor's or master's degree (or international equivalent) and 13-15 years of relevant experience or 17-19 years of relevant work experience
