Role

This full-time, on-site role is suited to a capable professional who can confidently take ownership of drainage works from planning through to completion. You'll lead day-to-day operations, supervise drainage teams, coordinate plant and materials, and ensure compliance with WHS and environmental requirements. It's a hands-on position for someone confident in managing work crews, maintaining high standards and ensuring projects are delivered safely and on time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate drainage works across civil and infrastructure projects.
  • Read and interpret plans, drainage drawings and specifications.
  • Manage labour, plant and subcontract resources to meet project schedules.
  • Monitor site activities to maintain WHS and environmental compliance.
  • Liaise with contractors to ensure specifications and timelines are achieved.
  • Manage plant operators and site resources; ability to operate machinery (excavators, trenchers, tippers) is advantageous but not essential.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience in drainage and civil construction, including supervision of small teams.
  • Strong ability to interpret drawings and work independently to program.
  • Sound understanding of WHS and environmental compliance in civil works.
  • Excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Current White Card and relevant plant operation tickets/VOCs, where required.
  • Highly regarded:
     confined space, working at height and first aid.
  • Must be reliable, proactive and take pride in quality workmanship.
