**Your new role**

This 12-month contract role will be responsible for KYC and financial crime screening processes, reporting and compliance advisory to enable the Fund to undertake its investment activity and third-party appointments while understanding and mitigating financial crime risk. In addition, the role will respond to KYC queries from third parties and regulators.

Some key tasks but not limited to;
- Working closely with stakeholders across the Fund, including Investment Department teams, Third Party, Procurement, Operational Due Diligence and Transaction Services, to ensure KYC compliant outcomes and financial crime screening on all direct transactions and third party appointments.
- Co-ordinating, collecting and analysing KYC documentation provided to us by external parties and required to be provided by the Fund to external parties.
- Leveraging industry databases and search facilities to identify PEPS, SIEs, SIPS and individuals / assets on sanctions lists, and escalating red flags and capturing outcomes in the relevant register for on-going monitoring.
- Maintaining and monitoring changes across the Fund’s register of PEPS, SIPs and other heightened risk parties. Producing associated management reporting to support insights and provide visibility of issues or emerging financial crime risk.
- Developing and executing periodic reviews and providing input to enhanced due diligence or investigations.
- Identifying and escalating to Senior Management and the Fund’s AML Officer key financial risk and sanctions findings.

**What you’ll need**
- Highly desirable experience in a risk and/or compliance function within a major financial institution, custodian, pension fund or insurance office, ideally with exposure to or knowledge of funds management and private equity.
- Well-developed analytical skills and a high attention to detail.
- Well-developed business writing skills
- Confident and capability verbal communication/ interpersonal skills
- Self-starter and comfortable working in a small team, able to self-direct work and comfortable with a lot of change.
- Confident to engage with investment or business stakeholders.
- University degree or another tertiary education certification or diploma.
