Portfolio Analyst

About the role:
As a Portfolio Analyst within the Momentum Portfolio Management Office (PMO), you will support all PMO services and will operate with a hands-on attitude and autonomously. You will use a high degree of initiative and be effective at maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.
As a trusted advisor to the broader Momentum business, you help us keep our customers at the heart of every business decision we make.

About you and your experience:
This is a unique role and we are looking for a unique individual that can drive strategic outcomes, context switch, and deal well with ambiguity.
Your experience in Portfolio value management, attention to detail and analytical skills will be key to hit the ground running. You have a natural ability to build relationships, multitask and keep things on track in a busy environment with lots of moving parts, and you’ll use your interpersonal skills as you’ll engage with many & varied stakeholders across our business. Prior experience in comparable project roles, 4+ years’ experience as a program or portfolio analyst/master schedule or similar, especially in Agile / Scrum environments
- Experience with Agile work methodologies, (as well as traditional project methods), as well as Agile governance.
- Strong experience in using and configuring JIRA and Confluence, including design and implementation of new Kanbans, reports and dashboards in these tools.
- Strong experience in financial management and financial administration in a program/project environment.
- Experience in contract management and vendor coordination.
- Experience in the planning and delivery of process management activities, including engagement and co-ordination of stakeholders.

Your key activities will include:

- Provide financial oversight (budgeting, forecasting) across project & program level, ensuring accurate financials and punctual financial reporting and forecasting
- Provide financial administration support to all delivery and technology teams (eg purchase orders, invoice payments, accruals)
- Coordinate governance, risk management and audit obligations across multiple streams and retail technology
- Provide vendor process administration support including contract administration, onboarding, forecasting, actuals tracking and vendor management coordination
- Provide general portfolio tools support to all delivery and technology teams (eg Sharepoint, JIRA, Confluence, SAP, Teams)
- Own and embed Delivery Support and Governance deliverables to the Portfolio as required - consisting of process coordination, artefact creation, communications, coaching and training to suit the needs of the portfolio
- Provide the necessary support to the delivery team to ensure adherence to Portfolio framework, Governance and Control measures
- Support the continuous improvement of Portfolio and Delivery processes, tools and standards within Technology and Transformation
- Build communication channels and relationships with the program teams to support our customer expectations and delivery success
- Ensure alignment with Hydro Tasmania policies, procedures and timelines, including IT and Contracts & Procurement.
