Leading manufacturers of household goods are seeking an experienced Purchasing Officer to join their team.

Our client is a manufacturing focused business who are a leader in their space, manufacturing a broad range of products out of their facility in Melbourne's Eastern Suburbs.

**Your new role**

Reporting into the Operations Manager, the Purchasing Officer will take on the following key responsibilities:

- Liaising with various internal stakeholders to align purchasing with manufacturing and distribution schedules
- Placement of purchase orders using EPICOR
- Supplier relationship management
- Expediting of purchase orders
- Inventory management responsibilities
- Negotiating contracts and procurement process improvements

**What you'll need to succeed**

To be successful in this role, you'll have prior experience in a purchasing, inventory or supply chain role within a manufacturing or FMCG environment.

EPICOR experience will be viewed positively, however, having experience with and the ability to adapt to a variety of ERP systems is enough to be considered for this role. You will be required to be on site 5 days per week for this role.
