**Purchasing Officer at Hyatt Centric Melbourne**
As the Purchasing Officer you will be responsible for providing excellent and a consistent level of service to external and internal customers when receiving delivered goods. You will support the Purchasing Assistant Manager in the day-to-day operations, receive and approve goods and assist where necessary with invoice queries.
Some of the responsibilities include:
- Check the quantity, quality, type and price of all receiving goods as they arrive in the hotel's loading bay.
- Keep and input dated records of all orders via the purchasing system.
- Place all received goods away in secured storage area, using the FIFO storage method, and following HACCP requirements.
- Verify goods received against the Purchase Orders, date and stamp boxes, process invoices in BirchStreet, and receive all Purchase Orders into Birchstreet.
- Follow up with suppliers for any missing/ pending items to be received.
- Handle invoice queries, backorders, and track deliveries
- Resolve discrepancy between Purchase order and Receiving record as per hotel’s policy and procedures.
- Assist Purchasing Manager in generating weekly/monthly receiving and purchasing reports.
- Any other duties as assigned by Purchasing Assistant Manager and Director of Finance.

**About you**:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management.
- A good knowledge of Purchasing, Receiving and / or Store Management.
- Proficient computer skills, particularly in MS Office
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- A strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage your time
- The flexibility to work a rotating roster, including weekends
