**We are currently looking for an Office Manager with a minimum of 2 years experience as an office manager in a General Practice to join our team**
- **Essential**_
- Proven ability to engage in business and office management including human resources, planning, budgeting and reporting (minimum of one years’ experience in this role).
- Completion or willingness to undertake a minimum certificate IV in Practice Management by an approved educational institution.
- **Position Overview**_
To assist upper management in maintaining daily operations in human resources, clinical governance, accounting records, and implementing quality systems to ensure smooth efficient functioning of the practice and provide an exceptional standard of care to our patients.
Main responsibilities
- **Planning**_
- Participate in the setting and monitoring of annual practice goals in consultation with principals and upper management
- Assist in preparing practice budgets and plans to provide regular reports on business performance in relation to goals.
- Collaborate with practice principles and the management team to develop strategies for the achievement of practice goals.
- **Human Resources**_
- Daily supervision of staff behavior including non-clinical (reception/ administration) and clinical (nurse) ensure high performance and continuing professional improvement.
- Leadership and management including team building, a delegation of tasks, and conflict resolution.
- Responsible to provide regular feedback and appraisal regarding the performance of staff, and setting necessary performance measures (KPI’s) for each individual employee.
- Liaise with local PHN representative to co-ordinate staff training activities and clinical system updates.
- **Operations**:_
- Accountable for the record and upkeep of relevant accreditation documentation in line with prescribed RACGP standards.
- Work in alliance with clinical nurses to ensure the upkeep of records and co-ordinate practice accreditation activities.
- Coordinate the practice’s chronic care referral system by engaging the nurses in screening and evaluating the waiting room patients. This is to ensure that a minimum of three patients per day are targeted to have a healthcare assessment plan/referral to allied health by the General Practitioner.

- Review and improve practice systems to ensure smooth and efficient functioning, high-quality services, and continuous improvement.
- **Finances**_
- Manage daily clinical operations in medium to long-term periods within an allocated budget.
- **Equipment and Software**_
- Responsible for the upkeep of maintenance records and report key issues or system failures to the operations manager
