**The Role**
The Contract Manager Officer within Air Lift Systems Program Office (ALSPO) Commercial Team is an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced professional with broad commercial experience and consolidated business acumen.
The role is focused on commercial governance where you will provide critical contract support to the delivery of sustainment services for a range ADF procurement activities including, the aerospace simulators and training systems.
As an experienced commercial practitioner, you will draw on your expansive knowledge base to analyse existing policy and commercial strategies and identify ways to innovate and improve support and delivery of services.
To be successful in this role you will:
- Lead and influence development of commercial strategies, proposals of new agreements, and tendering activity including evaluations and negotiations relating to critical areas of support including, Intellectual Property, Insurances, and export controls
- Provide frank and fearless advice in relation to procurement, contracting, financial and administrative policies with a strong emphasis on compliance, governance and assurance
**About our Team**
The Air Lift Systems Program Office (ALSPO) at RAAF Base Richmond is a Business Unit within the Airlift and Tanker Systems branch of the Aerospace Systems Division.
ALSPO is the in-service support agency responsible for sustaining and enhancing the RAAF’s C-130J Hercules and C-27J Spartan aircraft, and for providing support to the sustainment of ADF aerospace simulator and training systems.

This APS 6 Contracting Officer is an integral member of a larger specialised, multidiscipline and professional commercial team, based in Richmond NSW, with core skills and qualification in legal, contracting, procurement and business management.
The position will be focused on supporting the Aerospace Simulator Management Unit (ASMU). Given the integrated nature of our business, building and maintaining cooperative and collaborative relationships with our stakeholders is fundamental to our success.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team. You will be a key member of the Commercial team within the ALSPO, operating in a fast-paced environment.
You will be an individual that:
- Has strong interpersonal and relationship management skills with demonstrated ability to develop and maintain good internal and external relationships.
- Adopts an agile approach to managing complex and competing priorities with an ability to remain focused on delivering strategic outcomes.
- Can demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills, including report writing.
