We are looking for a highly motivated, resilient, customer service focused Tours & Outreach Officer to participate in a variety of Tours and Outreach programs.
About the roleThe Tours and Customer Service unit sits within the Department of the Legislative Assembly and provides community engagement programs, particularly tours and outreach programs for school students. When Parliament is sitting, the unit provides support to the Assembly Chamber.
The Tours and Outreach Officer contributes to the work of the unit and promoting the role of Parliament by leading tours and roleplays at Parliament House and attending regional and metropolitan visits as required. The Tours and Outreach Officer provides impartial support and customer service to a range of stakeholder and assists with the operation of the Assembly Chamber on Sitting Days.
About youYou are a confident communicator who has experience presenting to people and highly developed interpersonal, organisational and time management skills. You have the resilience and adaptability to handle difficult situations and a preparedness to accept a variety of views and opinions.
Your strong customer focus will be the key to your success in this position as you deal with a diverse range of stakeholders from community groups, school personnel and students to Members of Parliament. You will also have the ability to use initiative in a range of situations as required.
