**About the role**
We are currently looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Supply Chain team as an Assistant Livestock Planner based at our Wetherill Park site.
This is a hands-on role which will see you use the knowledge that you have gained within your degree to add value to the operations of our business.
Reporting through to the Procurement Manager for Meat & Livestock, this role involves the coordination and planning of livestock to meet the requirements of our de-boning plant. The role will see you owning the day to day planning process to ensure on time pig supply to the business as per commercial requirements and capacity constraints.
Your new role will include:

- Build and develop relationships with producers/vendors for long term effective partnerships
- Planning of incoming pig numbers, slaughter and transport schedules to commercial requirements
- Ensure slaughter data is uploaded into SAP system and then checked for consistency against the plan
- Effectively communicate weekly and daily plan to business partners, producers, abattoirs, transport and BEC Operations and Planning Teams
- Ensuring producers meet BEC quality demands for carcass supply (weight specifications, fat and gender requirements)
- Communicating with the sales team daily in regards to the quality and volume of available carcasses vs. commercial requirements.
- Providing support to the livestock team data analysing reporting, process improvement.

**About you**
