**About the company**
Privately owned Industrial builder based in Melbourne's South East currently in the market for a Purchasing Officer. The projects range from $1 - $10 million across the commercial/industrial space. There is a strong team of Project Managers, Contract Administrators and Directors to lend assistance.

**About the Role**
The role of the Purchasing Officer focusses on sourcing materials and supplies for the onsite team during the construction of industrial projects.

Duties include:

- To source and buy materials and supplies on behalf of EPG to be used in daily operations
- Liaise with site teams to ensure they have what they need on a day to day basis.
- Need to stay on top of the orders and make sure suppliers follow through on delivery.
- Need to make sure things are done as efficiently as possible
- Negotiate and research products where appropriate
- Keep accurate records and be very organised
- Ensure no orders are left unnoticed and controlling a smooth supply chain

**Skills and Experience**
- At least 2 years in a similar position in the construction industry
- Fantastic organisation to track ongoing orders
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
