We are offering an excellent career opportunity for an ambitious, self-motivated and experienced sales professional to join the Queensland team as part of our Industrials division.

As the Sales specialist, you will be responsible for growing the compressor, blower & vaccum and transport business by maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers and pursuing new customers.

In addition, this role has a strong orientation towards business growth, requiring face to face liaison with existing and potential clientele. You will need to be able to establish and maintain high level relations and support to the customer base.

You will be expected to:

- Follow and adhere to all Gardner Denver policies and safety procedures
- Achieve or exceed sales targets of the allocated territory/product by developing new business with existing and potential clients
- Work with the Sales Manager to prepare the overall sales budget and strategy
- Proactively contact customers and prospects to set up meetings
- Maintain and develop close relationships with key accounts
- Develop and maintain a high level of product knowledge
- Report on sales activity and territory performance
- Draft proposals and detail costings and prepare contract documents for review
- Prepare and review proposals, detailed costings and contract documents prior to negotiation with clients/customers
- Offer assistance and explanation when difficulties arise, ensure complaints are followed up and that satisfactory solutions are obtained
- Maintain and develop close relationships with key accounts and ensure their requirements are being met by the company’s products where possible****:

- Provide input into the determination of the overall sales budget and strategy
- Actively monitor trends through clients/contacts and suppliers and attendance at trade shows, association meetings, seminars and provide feedback to Sales Manager
- Deep knowledge of products and or services offered
- Self-starter, able to work under time constraints, detail-oriented
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated PC Skills ( Excel, Word, PowerPoint and databases) and SAP experience
- Ability to meet deadlines and organise work priorities
- Demonstrate a flexible and “can do” attitude
- Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
- Focused on achieving agreed targets
- Highly developed organisational skills
- Proven communication, negotiation and presentations skills are essential
- Proven analytical and problem solving skills to assess customer needs and requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) Business or Engineering preferred
- Minimum 4-5 years experience in a comparable position if no degree
