**About this role**
The Manager, AOD Diversion and Treatment Access Programs leads the programs and services which support access to Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) treatment. This role also plays a lead role in monitoring and evaluating state-wide AOD treatment programs, to ensure that programs are patient centred, safe, high-quality and effective. The role reports to the Director of Clinical Services and Programs within the Centre for Alcohol and Other Drugs (CAOD).
**Where you’ll be working**
The CAOD is part of the Population and Public Health Division of the NSW Ministry of Health, and is responsible for developing and coordinating policy, strategy and program funding relating to the prevention, minimisation and treatment of alcohol and drug related harm.
**What you’ll be doing**
The Manager, AOD Diversion and Treatment Access Programs leads and manages the team to:
- Develop, implement and co-ordinate AOD treatment access programs portfolio to ensure business continuity and a whole of sector approach to the management and delivery of treatment access programs, in line with strategy, policy and safety guidelines.
- Ensure effective co-ordination of treatment access programs to ensure they are evidence-based, person-centred, safe, high quality and effective.
- Deliver high quality written reports, briefs, and cabinet documents to inform or respond to agency, media or Government requests.
- Build collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders within NSW Health, other government agencies and non-government organisations.
