**How will I Help?**
The Associate Director, Property VIC Analyst will play a critical role in the VIC Property Industry Analytics team in Melbourne. The team has an inclusive culture that supports learning and encourages collaboration, and we are looking for motivated individual(s) to join the team. This team sits within the Corporate & Institutional Bank (CIB) which is a key pillar in Westpac’s Institutional Bank (WIB).
The primary responsibility of this credit analyst role is to efficiently manage a portfolio of high-profile institutional and Mid-Market clients in the VIC Real Estate portfolio, including the origination process for new transactions and the ongoing monitoring and management of the customer portfolio as the primary credit analyst.
In this role you will;
- Build relationships and establish rapport with clients and with internal stakeholders
- Ensure that all aspects of the credit process, including the required due diligence, are properly executed
- Write credit submissions including detailed risk analysis and financial forecasting, and be able to present and negotiate submissions through WIB’s risk management decision process
- Test proposals against approved business and credit strategies, target market acceptance criteria and underwriting standards
- Bring your banking experience and/or depth of industry knowledge of Real Estate to lead, coach and develop the team’s overall expertise.

**What do I need?**
You will have solid experience in wholesale banking or a related field, ideally with familiarity of credit writing. You will demonstrate strong attention to detail and relationship building ability with a variety of stakeholders and external clients. Some more skills which are advantageous are:
- Industry knowledge of the Real Estate clients is preferred
- Knowledge of how to build customer relationships and experience in managing customers would be beneficial.
- Tertiary qualified in an analytical focused field such as finance, business, or economics
