**The Company**

As a global leader in the FMCG with instantly recognised brands across the globe, this business is moving the manufacturing of products into Australia and expanding their already significant Australian Manufacturing footprint. This is a fast paced and complex site that has had over $100M of investment the last 10 years with a similar amount planned over the next 5 years. This role will suit someone that thrives in an environment where you have to both develop and execute the operational strategy, as well as work broadly across the organisation in both a commercial and operational capacity.

**The Role**

As the Operations Manager your role is to coach, develop and lead staff, and to drive the commercial success of the plant. Your responsibilities will focus on:

- Support and lead an manufacturing team to achieve/exceed KPI’s and deliver on productivity targets and operational improvement.
- Educate, coach, and facilitate operational expectations, lead change initiatives through the team leaders and supervisors, deliver on all operational KPIs.
- Develop and maintain operations systems, ensuring staff structures and labour plans are optimised and meet the needs of the business.
- Drive the site TPM program through manufacturing engaging, training and supporting the TPM lead moving the site towards best in class manufacturing levels.
- Manage and report on metrics as well as instilling understanding of metrics across the group to develop a performance-based culture.
- Lead and coach on continuous improvement initiatives in conjunction with the leadership group, to reduce cost and waste, improve productivity and quality.
- Investigate and develop solutions with the site leadership group for operational issues across the site.

**The Person**

To be successful in this role you will have extensive leadership experience gained from a complex manufacturing environment. You must be able to drive change and achieve excellent results through effective leadership, with a focus on cultural improvement and increasing employee engagement. Strong commercial awareness and an ability to communicate at all levels are critical to the success of the position.
