**About the role**

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of and lead a team focused on providing strategic town planning advice. Your high calibre professional ethics and personal standards are essential as the role requires significant consultation and negotiation with staff, Government authorities, developers, community groups and the general public.

**About you**

In your new role, your high level professional knowledge, leadership qualities and ability to prioritise and co-ordinate activities are a must. Proficiency in oral and written communication is essential in fulfilling the tasks associated with reporting and presenting complex issues to Council and the community. A commitment to efficient and effective customer service is also essential.

Extensive experience in strategic town planning, significant knowledge of the relevant sections of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act, and tertiary qualifications in town planning is required in this role.
