**Community Team Leader**:
Sahara Services is looking for an energetic, self-starting, people focused Team Leader to join our growing organisation. The essential function of this role will be to provide outstanding leadership to our valuable team of Support Workers.

**The role**:
**Key responsibilities**:

- Provide leadership and support to the support worker team within a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of the NDIS, including a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with individuals and their families/carers.
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
- Experience liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure continuity of care and support needs of our participants.
- A strong understanding to Sahara company values and the ability to provide ethical leadership
- Proven experience implementing and executing initiatives, for example, budgets, meal plans, and rosters.
- The ability to communicate verbally and in writing with Senior Managers, colleagues, consumers, and stakeholders in a prompt, articulate and respectful manner.
- Strong administrative skills ensuring the accuracy of processes and documents.
- Provide Active Support to Participants in a manner which gives Participants as much control and independence as possible without compromising Sahara Services duty of care to the Participants
- Accurately document Participants programs in accordance with organisation policies
- Proactively manage complaints, feedback, and incident as per the Sahara Services policies and Procedures.
- A pragmatic approach to problem-solving, decision making, and balancing priorities
- Manages team rostering, establishment, leave and payroll requirements.
- On Call - provide afterhours emergency support to staff within a rostered-on call function.

**Essential Criteria**:

- Extensive relevant industry experience (e.g. Support Worker)
- A current Working with Children Check
- NDIS Worker Check (or willing to apply)
- Current First Aid Certificate
- NSW Drivers Licence with your own comprehensively insured car
- Certificate IV in Disability Services
