**Your new company**
This high-profile Federal Government Department is seeking an APS6 Governance and Communications Officer to join their newly establish taskforce driving a policy and regulatory reform to develop a sustainability plan underpinning an implementation framework to streamline development approvals over the next 30 years.

**Your new role**
You will be responsible for contributing to a broad range of governance and communication related functions to support the delivery of the assessment. Your duties will include but are not limited to:

- Contract management including the payment of invoices and assist in the management of contractual agreements and/procurements.
- Program management including oversight of activity schedules, budget and scope and contributing to future plans for implementation.
- Support for engagement with key stakeholders including meeting briefings.
- Providing secretariat support for governance committees.
- Costing development.

**What you'll need to succeed**
To be successful for this position you will have the ability to work effectively and collaboratively as part of a team to achieve outcomes, have demonstrated project or program management skills, the ability to prepare advice to management based on sound judgement, research and technical analysis, the ability to build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, the ability to represent to the department confidently in discussions with stakeholders and have a strong strategic focus and ability to shape strategic and innovative thinking across multiple program streams.
