Our federal government client is seeking an **APS6 Governance and Secretariat Officer** to join the Fraud Fusion Taskforce.
**About the Team**:
The Fraud Fusion Taskforce has been established to improve payment integrity in the NDIS and other government programs and payments by preventing or reducing fraud and criminal activity (including serious organised crime and systemic fraud). The Taskforce enables intelligence sharing, identification and response by the NDIA and its partner agencies, including law enforcement and regulators.
**Responsibilities**:
Responsibilities of the position include (but are not limited to):
- Undertaking secretariat and governance functions including, coordinating meetings and attendees, preparing documents, agendas, taking minutes, managing action lists and preparing submissions for working groups, sub committees and committees.
- Providing support and advice to other areas of the Taskforce Management Office (TMO), and the Committees of the Fraud Fusion Taskforce.
- Contributing to the development and maintenance of governance policies, procedures, and guidance documents.
- Assisting in the monitoring and communication of Committee actions and outcomes and ensuring the accountable executive is addressing the relevant action items.
- Maintaining corporate records including minutes, committee terms of reference, registers of interest, decision registers and action registers.
- Reviewing and editing documents ensuring a very high standard, aligning with the format and template requirements for senior executives.
- Managing mailboxes of the branch, bringing relevant matters to the attention of the Director, Governance, and other referring other matters appropriately for prompt action.
- Effectively managing day to day demands and competing priorities across Committees and renegotiating timeframes where necessary.
**Skills and Experience**

- Demonstrated experience in providing effective executive/administrative/ secretariat and support services.
- Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining effective internal and external stakeholder relationships.
- Excellent time management skills with demonstrated ability to effectively manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent organisational skills with demonstrated ability to work flexibly and autonomously in a dynamic environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work collegiately as part of a small team, but also across teams within the Taskforce.
- Displays a high degree of personal integrity, professionalism sound judgement, discretion, resilience.
- Displays a commitment to continuous improvement to support effective governance practices by contributing to the maintenance and development of governance policies, procedures, and guidance to enhance administrative processes, and optimise efficiency to support better practice and achieve quality outcomes.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to support preparation of written material including agendas, minutes, submissions and communications for internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate and maintain Governance Committee records including minutes, committee terms of reference, registers of interest, decision registers and action registers.
- Assisting with monitoring and managing Branch mailboxes to recommend or refer relevant matters as appropriate for action.
**Desirable skills to have for the role**
- Strong understanding of governance committees in Federal government environment.

- To be eligible for employment for this role, you must be an Australian citizen.
